About Matt

“I document the day as it is. Without control or interferance, I aim to blend in so that people think I’m one of the guests, they trust me and are able to be themselves.”

Matt Lincoln’s photography is chiefly reportage in style. He works in amongst the action in a discreet and inconscipious way, intuitively tuning in to that decisive moment and the resulting images evoke the feeling of ‘being there’ and being connected to that moment.

“I’m from an arts background with a love of photojournalism and documentary photography and realized there was a genuine need for wedding photography that fitted this mould; more ‘real’- capturing images from the event in a way that couples could connect with directly and emotionally; photographs that could take someone back to exactly how they were feeling on the day.”

Matt has an arts degree from the Universty of Brighton where he studied photography and painting. His work has been published in the national and local press and he has exhibited in Brighton and Bristol.

Alongside his wedding work, Matt has built up a loyal and regular client base with his commercial and portrait photography.

Based in Bradford on Avon, Matt is ideally located to cover weddings in Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire although much of his work is further afield.

Matt is married and has two young children.
